6 Tips To Manage A Full Caseload Of 15 Clients & A Busy Home
I wanted to let you in on what happens behind the scenes of my business.
Between my coaching and psychotherapy work I see an average of 15 clients every week.
With all the preparation and marketing work that I do, it means my days are pretty full on.
Self-care is a non-negotiable for me to be at the top of my game for my clients and my family.
So here are 6 of my self-care practices to manage a busy business and a busy home:
1 - I sleep 7 hours every night, from 11pm to 6am. Of course sometimes it's less and my kids don't always sleep through but I stick to those hours most of the time.
Waking up at the same time everyday means your body clock kicks in and you will often wake up naturally just before your alarm goes off!
Avoid snoozing as it will make you more tired vs less
2 - I compartmentalise my time. Meaning I work to a tight weekly schedule and I stick to it.
Scheduling is key to success in business and it's also a great way to juggle a busy career and a busy homelife without getting overwhelmed.
Hour to hour I know exactly what I need to focus on and what's coming next.
I don't have a to-do list anymore
3 - Lunch BREAK. Everyday I take a lunchbreak with my daughter Maya who is 3. I pick her up from nursery and we have lunch together before she goes to the childminder for her afternoon nap and play. I make a point of not using my phone or doing any work at lunchtime to enjoy my time with her and read a few pages of my book whilst she watches Mr Bean. Sometimes we read stories together too.
4 - Green smoothies. I love a fresh juice or a smoothie to fill up on the nutrients my body needs to be in top form.
A great trick for busy mums is to prepare your fruits & veg bags on Sundays and freeze them so it's all done for the week ahead.
5 -Meditation. I mediate for 10 minutes every morning between 6 and 6.30. That is my time to sit in silence and aks for divine guidance on what to do to reach my goals.
SometimesI meditate after my lunch break too when I need to 'check in'' .
It's a good idea to journal afterwards to write down those precious downloads and set your intention for the day.
6 - Coaching. I am fully supported by a high-level coach who helps me to continually uplevel by Business and my personal life.
I also have a clinical supervisor who supports me with my client work + 2 mastermind groups who I meet on a monthly basis.
Support is a key piece of success.
You don't have to carry everything on your own.
Asking for support is the fastest way to reach your goals.
Of course none of this is set it stone and I don't always get it right.
Allow room for manoeuvre and do the best you can to not drown under the sea of tasks you have to perform on a daily basis.
My life is not perfect but it's pretty damn close to how I want it to be because I created it by design.
