MY TOP 3 SECRETS TO LOOK AFTER MYSELF AND KEEP MY SANITY!

This is how I cope with everything I have to do...

Being a mother, wife and business owner is no small task.

Boy does it take stamina to manage it all!

In fact, I don't want to blow my own trumpet but I honestly think it takes a HERO to raise children whilst running a business.

Actually it takes a hero to do just 1 of these things.

So in order to keep sane and feel good everyday, I have had to place self-care at the top of my priorities.

Because if I feel good. Everybody feels good: my family, my clients, my neighbours etc.

Let me share with you my top 3 secrets for self-care as a Mum and Business Woman:

1 -  I get at least 7 hours of sleep. This has become a non-negotiable in my life. Now don't kid yourself...kids NEVER sleep through...that's a total myth.
So my nights are still disjointed sometimes but at least I go to bed by 11 and wake up at 6am everyday.
Means I don't feel like I'm on survival mode all the time and I don't bark at my kids.

2 - Every month I treat myself to nice things...Sometimes I go for a massage, or a facial or I take an afternoon off to watch a movie. I reward myself well for my hard work whether it's with my favourite Curry or a bottle of Champagne. I'm always up for celebrating..in style...thank you very much x

3 - I speak to myself kindly. Like I don't speak to myself outloud but in my own head...just to be clear. I forgive myself when I make mistakes...and I make a lot of mistakes believe me. I can be clumsy, inconsiderate and even borderline rude sometimes but I learnt to love myself the way I am...with my good sides, and my bad sides.
When I feel down, I allow myself to feel that way. And when I laugh, I laugh loudly like the good half-African woman I am!

Does this inspire you to treat yourself with more compassion?

I hope so...because you can't give what you don't have.

By giving yourself more love, you'll have more love to give.

And that is the most beautiful thing in the world.

Love & Light x
Nancy Florence.
